The Asheville Quilt Guild is a non-profit Guild that organizes local quilters. It was formed to preserve the heritage of quilting, and to be a resource for quilters. This includes conducting events geared towards people sharing the interest of quilting.
The then-President of the Guild contacted me to move the site from its original design to WordPress. The intent of this move was to make it easier for Guild members to make minor edits and updates, including adding events to the calendar. In addition to redesigning the site and moving it to WordPress, I also needed to do some management of email addresses, so that aliases associated with the organization could point to the current personal address of the person who held a particular position (roles change annually). The site was also moved to a different hosting package, as the original package was property of the prior developer, and did not have the resources needed to run a more modern site.
